Stated first edition. Book is in very nice shape, corners are bumped and Uncle Ernie wrote a birthday inscription on the ffep. Dust jacket has some problems, many chips and closed tears to top of front cover, along lower spine and both endpaper folds (near bottom). Still very presentable, a hard-to-find children's story collection by the winner of the 1950 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
